MIAMI-Sun Manufacturing, a novelty imprinting firm, paid $3.17 million or $33.56 per sf for the 32-year-old, 94,461-sf plant it was leasing from John H. Shapiro at Sunshine Industrial Park, six miles northeast of Miami International Airport.

The buyer closed the deal with a purchase money mortgage for $2.37 million. Shapiro is from Bay Harbor Islands, FL, a Miami suburb.

The plant is at 15959 NW 15th Ave., a mile from the intersection of the Palmetto Expressway, Interstate 95 and the Florida Turnpike.
