The facility will be built in Liberty Industrial Park and isexpected to be completed in 2001. Some 100 employees will work inthe center. Cardinal will contract with local trucking companies todistribute its pharmaceuticals and other products to drugstorechains in the metro area. Cardinal also provides products tohospitals, laboratories and medical practices.

Earlier this month, the company announced a $2.1-billion mergerwith Bindley Western Industries, Inc. of Indianapolis. Thetransaction is expected to close in the first half of 2001. Bindleysupplies pharmaceutical and medical products to the FederalGovernment.
