SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA-Active Ride Shop, a snowboard and skateretailer founded in 1989, has signed a lease for retail space inthe 600,000-sf, $130 million-Gotcha Glacier sports facility to bebuilt adjacent to Edison International Field of Anaheim, as part ofthe city's Sportstown project.

Details of the lease were unavailable. However, with this lease,Active Ride Shop joins Sport Chalet, Bally's Total Fitness andother retailers as tenants, bringing the total amount of retailspace currently filled at the Glacier to 90%.

“Active Ride Shop is a critical piece as it caters to the coreaction-sports athletes,” says Brad Kinney, CEO of The Glacier ofAnaheim LLC, which is based in San Juan Capistrano. The retailercurrently has six Southern California locations, including a storein Irvine.
