Pizzuti Completes Build to Suit for Pactiv

ROMEOVILLE, IL-One of the country's largest specialty packaging companies has a vast distribution space built in the southwest suburbs of Chicago.

ROMEOVILLE, IL-The Pizzuti Cos. has completed an 871,000-sf distribution facility for Pactiv Corp., a Fortune 500 company, on a 65-acre parcel in southwest suburban Romeoville. Pactiv, headquartered in Lake Forest and with operating facilities in 20 countries, is a specialty packaging company and a provider of packaging for the food service and food packaging industries.

The built-to-suit facility will serve as the company’s Midwest Regional Distribution Center, and can support 45 inbound shipments per day from Pactiv manufacturing sites, and 45 outbound customer shipments per day. The building was constructed with expansion capabilities of up to 1.3 million sf. Power Construction was the general contractor, and Heitman Architects provided design services.
