Denver-based SafeRent Inc. is sending a "party in a box" to thecomplex, located at 1601 Royal Crest Dr., after a new tenant'sapplication has marked the risk management service's 500,000thonline transaction. Canyon Oaks' staff uses SafeRent's applicationscreening service to search a prospective tenant's credit history,rental history over the Internet. SafeRent offers online credit andrisk management solutions and services to the multifamily housingindustry. The two-year-old company processes 55,000 transactionsper month.
Canyon Oaks is owned by AIMCO, a REIT that also headquarters inDenver. AIMCO, through its subsidiaries, operates 1,740 properties,including approximately 330,000 apartment units, and servesapproximately one million residents.
