Arcturus Applied Genomics Inc. signed the lease for 11,448 sfwith Starr-Essex Carlsbad LLC. The lease in the building, at 2715Loker Avenue West, is valued at $758,954.

Biotech firms have taken a shine to the Carlsbad area, wherethey are finding a more abundant supply of office space at lessexpensive prices than in submarkets directly south. In October, WBTechnologies, a firm specializing in antibody research, leased5,300 sf in the nearby Palomar Crest Corporate Center.
