Tree Factory Branching Out

HUNTERSVILLE, NC-The Tree Factory’s new $3.6 million, 125,000-sf manufacturing and corporate headquarters building will be situated on 10 acres off Interstate 77 just outside Huntersville Business Park, 20 miles north of Downtown Charlotte.

The Tree Factory will lease the space for undisclosed terms from building owner Northfield Investments Inc. The company currently occupies 120,000 sf on Brookshire Boulevard here. Northfield affiliate Regional Construction and Design Inc. will be the general contractor. The project, which will include 8,000 sf of office space, is expected to break ground before the end of the year.

The Tree Factory, which makes more than 5,000 different kinds of artificial greenery and floral arrangements, will have 30-ft ceilings in its new facility that could be expanded to 160,000 sf. The current building has 12-ft ceilings. The Tree Factory employs about 160 persons and has been growing at a 70% rate for the past two years.
