However, the township Board of Trustees denied a rezoningproposal for the property, submitted by Kirco Construction Corp. ofTroy. Kirco had asked to rezone property to the east and south ofthe development from residential to commercial.
The developer hired Sterling Heights attorney Richard Sable, andhas lawsuit pending in Macomb County Circuit Court regarding thedenial. Kirco has also resubmitted a rezoning request to thetownship, Planning Commissioner, Sable said. Proposed retailers arenot public information yet, said Kirco representatives.
