Leading the effort will be Granite Investments primary partnerRichard Vandervert, whose namesake construction company ownsseveral hotels. The three-story limited-service Hilton Gardens willbe modeled upon a new prototype Hilton format. Russ Page Architectsof Spokane is designing the 65,454-sf hotel on three acres situatedoff a planned extension of Flint Road, one-half mile from theSpokane International Airport.
McKee says his LLC is raising approximately $6 million fromprivate investors in first-round money for the West Plainsdevelopment. Other plans for the campus include office space, andhigh-tech/biotech facilities.
