In the larger lease, National Cable Communications signed on for38,000 sf for a 10-year term. Jointly owned by AT&T MediaServices, Comcast Cable, Cox Comunications, Katz Media Group andTime Warner Cable, the cable service provider will relocate morethan 100 employees from offices in New York and Boston. Thelocation at 400 Broadacres Dr. will serve as the company's primarydata center.
In the second transaction, Nextel of New York took 12,000 sf forfive years at 400 Broadacres. The all-digital wireless serviceprovider's customers include a number of major corporate andindividual customers in North Jersey, and the move to the newlocation is a consolidation of staff from Piscataway and other NewJersey locations. The company expects to move 50 associates intothe new space.
