Owned by Newport Beach-based Landmark Companies LLC, the projectis expected to be open by next November. Contractor of the13-story, 371-room luxury hotel project is San Diego-based NielsenDillingham Builders Inc. The project architect is Comstock +Associates of Colorado Springs.
When completed, the hotel will feature a grand ballroom that canbe sub-divided into eight smaller ballrooms, four conference rooms,a restaurant and a kitchen facility. The hotel grounds will featurea swimming pool, spa and on-grade parking.
Jim Nelson, project manager for Nielsen Dillingham, says thathis company's engineering efforts have resulted in a 15 percentreduction in overall construction cost without reducing room countor major functional areas.
