Wharton School Prof to Speak at Annual Real Estate Luncheon

AUBURN HILLS, MI-The 10th Annual Metro Detroit Commercial Real Estate Trends and Forecasts Seminar will take place on Friday, Jan. 12, 2001, at a different location this year, the new Marriott Hotel in Auburn Hills.Registration will begin at 11 a.m., and the program will run through 1:45 p.m. with lunch served at noon.

This year’s keynote speaker is Peter Linneman, who will discuss “The State of the National Real Estate Landscape.” Linneman is the Albert Sussman Professor of Real Estate, Finance and Public Policy at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.Other commercial real estate trends to be explored include:

o Real estate in a global economy.

o Technology’s impact on commercial real estate.

o National office, industrial and retail trends.

o The reinvented workplace.

o Will telecom buildings rebound?

o Growth areas for speculative office development.
