Maurice Villency, an upscale furniture retailer based in NewYork City, will anchor Bethesda Corner along with ParvizianMasterpieces. Villency's 20,263-sf store, its first outside the NewYork City metropolitan area, is scheduled to open in May 2001.Parvizian, specializing in Oriental rugs, is already located at thecenter and will remain open during construction.
When completed, the 60,000-sf retail center will be devotedexclusively to upscale home furnishings, design, and accessories.The renovation will yield a new façade, storefronts andcanopies.
