The new part of the store will occupy the undeveloped areabetween Gourmet Glazed Hams Deli and T.J. Maxx, according to designreview board member James Stroupe. The review board's approvalincluded a number of conditions such as adding lighting along the10-foot pathway for security purposes, a complete landscaping planmust be submitted to the DRB for review and approval to show wherereplacement trees will be planted for the six trees that will needto be removed for the expansion.

Despite the approval there was some concern expressed by boardmembers that the expansion would eliminate the seating area to theside of the deli and create a 10-foot, alley-type passagewaybetween the two businesses. David Schnayer, a representative forshopping center owner Center Trust, explained that there are plansto reconfigure the sidewalk in front of the deli to accommodateanother eating area.
