San Francisco-based Campsix has secured $20 million in fundingto date. According to a spokeswoman for Campsix, the building,which is leased by MG West, was merely retained for futureopportunities. E-Colony could not be reached for comment.

In an unpredictable economy where incubators are only assuccessful as the companies they help to go public, it comes as nosurprise to insiders that Campsix and E-Colony are facing somechallenging market conditions. But landlords are not worried. Netcompanies vacating the buildings are being replaced by tech giantssuch as Sun Microsystems and Microsoft Corp., both of which haverecently leased space in the city.
