Coming to Austin will be marketing, operations, systemsengineering and finance functions. Henderson gets to keep researchand development.

Valence, whose new CEO is a former Dell Computer Corp.executive, has not chosen office space in Austin, but wants to beup and running by Aug. 1, Stephanie Willerton, a company contact,tells GlobeSt.com. "We're still looking," she says. She was unableto say how much space Valence is seeking nor whom it is workingwith in the search.

The company plans to hire in Austin, although some workersprobably will move from Henderson, Willerton says. Valence hasabout 80 employees in Henderson and 215 at its Northern Irelandmanufacturing facility.
