Cohu Completes Move to Business Center

SAN DIEGO-Cohu, Inc. has completed the relocation of its corporate offices into a 338,000-sf building in Parkway Business Center in Poway.

Cohu, a test kit maker for the semiconductor industry as well as a supplier of closed circuit television, metal detection and microwave radio equipment, moved its corporate offices —including its Delta Design and BMS subsidiaries—from four buildings into the structure at 12367 Crosthwaite Circle.

“With the new facility in Poway, about 10 miles from our former location, we’re able to consolidate in one building and more efficiently configure our manufacturing operations,” says James A. Donahue, president and chief executive officer.

“While conditions in the semiconductor equipment industry are currently depressed, our new facility provides us with ample space for future growth in our semiconductor equipment business when conditions improve.”

Cohu announced in April that it sold its land and buildings in San Diego for $12.5 million and that it was moving into the Poway facility, which formerly housed Anacomp. Liquidating REIT Burnham Pacific Properties Inc. sold the 338,485-sf office and industrial building last fall for about $21.3 million to IPX Camelback LLC, an Arizona limited liability company representing Cohu.
