The five-story, 256,000-sf building will rise on the southeastside of Lake Union, across from the Fred Hutchinson CancerCenter.

The Blume Company is the owner and developer of the project,which is located on a triangular site between I-5 and EastlakeAvenue. MulvannyG2 Architecture designed the building."With thebuilding's proximity to Fred Hutchinson, the developer's focus ison attracting lab-related, biotech clients," says John Trieger,MulvannyG2 associate and the project's lead architect.

The building's modern stainless steel window bays, stonework andpatterned brickwork are designed to help it blend in with thesurrounding environment. The building also features a circulartwo-story entrance with a dramatic entry stair and an artisticmetal canopy.
