In announcing the individual grants, Dan Ivanoff, SchnitzerNorthwest managing principal stated that the purpose of the effortwas to allow each Schnitzer Northwest asset management team theability to create community programs that encourage publicoutreach.

"We are extremely proud of our economic contributions to theregion," Ivanoff said. "Activities like this will allow us toexpand our presence and long-term community commitment."

The Civica Office Commons effort resulted from a SchnitzerNorthwest community recognition program that encouraged prospectivetenant property tours and a chance to win $10,000 that would bedonated by Schnitzer Northwest to their designated charity orcharities. The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, directedgrants to eight local charities.
