Safeway Grocery Store 2620 is scheduled to begin development atthe end of the year. The developer, Wall Street Properties, willconstruct a 55,000 sf building on a 9-acre site at Woodcreek Oaksand Blue Oaks Boulevards in Roseville. The store will cost anestimated $4 million to build, and will feature 745 parkingspaces.

The other two stores will be built in conjunction with thisstore, featuring the same architectural plan. Safeway Grocery Store1724 will be built in Placerville's El Dorado Village. The thirdstore does not have a scheduled start date but will eventually beconstructed in Woodland.

In addition, a new shopping center in the area is underconstruction. New Renaissance Creek Shopping Center is a $15million project being built by the Westerra Group. The center willconsist of a 153,000 sf building at Sierra and Douglas Streets inRoseville.
