The development plan, which was devised by Caruso AffiliatedHoldings, calls for a 1.7-acre community park surrounded by300,000-sf of retail space and up to 500 multifamily residentialunits. The project will rise on a 15.8-acre site bounded by BrandBoulevard and Colorado Street. Construction is slated to begin inFall 2002.

Santa Monica-based Caruso was selected in March by the GlendaleCity Council to develop the project. "We've spent several monthssoliciting input from the community on the development concept,"says Rick J. Caruso, CEO of Caruso Affiliated Holdings. "This planreflects what the residents want in their community – a great civicgathering place and a vibrant live/work/play environment."
