Extended Stay Adds 2nd Hotel Near Mayo

ROCHESTER, MN-Extended Stay America, Inc. recently opened a three-story, 98-room hotel located here. This is the second hotel Extended Stay has opened in Rochester inthe last few months.

Although Rochester has a population of slightly more than 85,000, it is home to the world-renowned Mayo Clinic, which would likely generate business for the hotel for patients or families of patients who are undergoing prolonged treatment at the medical facility.

The Spartanburg, SC-based lodging company now has eight hotels in Minnesota and 416 hotels overall.

Nightly rates are available from $49, while weekly room rates for the new Extended Stay America hotel are available from $249 up. The extended-stay lodging market is a fastgrowing segment of the hotel industry, with appeal to business professionals, people relocating or on extended work assignments, according to Extended Stay America officials.
