COLUMBIA, MD-The Gateway Commerce Center gets a new tenant as the Metropolitan Washington, DC office of Grubb & Ellis finalizes Lagasse Inc.’s lease of 102,940 sf of industrial space at Gateway Commerce Center. Grubb & Ellis and New Orleans, Louisiana-based Lagasse–a wholesaler of sanitary and janitorial maintenance products and a subsidiary of Des Plaines, IL-based United Stationers Inc.–are not releasing the terms of the lease agreement.

Lagasse will take up just a minor portion of the space available at the 440-acre Gateway Commerce Center. The industrial park, which is located at Route 175 and Interstate 95, offers about 1,650,000 sf of space. Lagasse has about 25 such distribution centers throughout the country. The Gateway space is the company’s second Maryland location; it also has a center in Baltimore.
