Impax Laboratories has acquired a 50,400-sf building in Haywardfrom Webcor, in a sale that is valued at $4.9 million. Theproperty, which is located at 31153 San Antonio St., is situated on4.5 acres of land.
Impax, which has another Hayward facility at 30831 HuntwoodAve., plans to use its new space as its headquarters and productionfacility. The company is a technology-focused pharmaceuticallaboratory.
"This is a sizeable expansion for Impax," said Dan Bergen, avice president with Colliers International, who, along with IanStuart of Colliers, brokered the sale on behalf of Webcor. "Biotechand drug companies continue to show encouraging growth patterns andImpax's expansion is a significant indicator of that growth."
