Instead, he sold the three-acre tract back to IsleworthLand Co. for $3.5 million or $1.17 million per acre ($26.78 persf)--the same price he paid for the dirt in 1997, according toOrange County real estate records.

Woods, still single, is renovating a home in Isleworth. He hasfinished first on the PGA Tour five times this year and ranks firstamong the tour's money leaders, according to online statistics fromthe Professional Golfers Association.
