These are the first contracts won by its hospitality managementservices division, Jarvis Management Services, a new divisionestablished earlier this year to operate hotels on behalf of assetowners and investors. JMS also currently manages nine propertiesowned by Norwich Union.

The Glasgow Airport Ramada will fly Marriott International'sRamada flag with 108 bedrooms, 10 summit conference and meetingrooms and an Italian concept restaurant. The design and furnishingwill be contemporary throughout with up-to-the minute technology,and the new hotel will complement the 91-room Ramada Jarvis inGlasgow's City Centre. The second 98-room hotel will be aimed atthe budget market and will also operate under a well-knowninternational brand.

Both new hotels will open in the first half of 2002. They arelocated within walking distance of the airport terminals and offerextensive parking facilities and a courtesy bus service. They bringthe total number of hotels operated by Jarvis in Scotland to 13,with a total of 1,239 rooms.
