St. Aidan's Place, located in northeast Portland, is one of only12 care communities in the world to receive the three-yearaccreditation. Senior Resource Group is the managing operator ofthe community. "A community accredited by the (commission) meetsrigorous standards," the JCAHO said in awarding accreditation.

Senior Resource Group acquired St. Aidan's Place in December2000 and "immediately began to implement the quality-of-careprocedures SRG has developed through years of research in thefields of gerontology, dementia and Alzheimer's care, hospitality,architecture, and interior design," says Michael Grust, presidentof Senior Resource Group.

Senior Resource Group is a 13-year-old company that develops andoperates independent living, assisted living and dementia carecommunities in California, Oregon, Arizona and Nebraska. Thecompany's corporate headquarters is located at 4660 La JollaVillage Drive in San Diego.
