Costco bought the property from Orion Partners, a San Antonioreal estate and investment firm, according to the firm's DeanBundrick. He tells GlobeSt.com that Dallas-based Romano's MacaroniGrill has a contract to put a store on the part of the remainingland.
Costco has located its San Antonio stores in the city's hottestareas. Both the northwest area, where the company's first SanAntonio store, at 5611 UTSA Blvd., near the intersection ofInterstate 10 and Loop 1604, and the north central area areexperiencing rapid growth. Costco has nine stores in Texas.
