CARLSBAD, CA-The second of two buildings in the Atrium project has broken ground, a 32,196-sf multi-tenant office building.

Keeton Construction is building the project on just over 1 ¾ acres at 2710 Loker Avenue West. The $6.9 million project is owned by Atrium Lot II LLC, a venture of Newport National/Cornerstone LLC and Buchanan Street LLC. Newport National Corp. is the developer.

Chinatrust Bank USA is providing construction financing. Construction of the shell is expected in the third quarter of next year.

The project is the second of two buildings in the project, complimenting a 29,575-sf building next door. Business Real Estate is the leasing agent for the project, with Norm Kerlin, Mark Avilla and Justin Halenza heading the marketing team.
