The one-year contract can be renewed annually for up to fiveyears.
Gafcon will oversee the infrastructure project on the NorthEmbarcadero, which stretches along San Diego Bay from SeaportVillage to Lindbergh Field.
Partners in the project are the city and county of San Diego,the port and Centre City Development Corp., the city of San Diego'sdowntown redevelopment arm.
