Team owners Steve Schott and Ken Hoffman have been trying tofind a new stadium for the past few years. Earlier this year, thebaseball team started negotiating with the city of Santa Clara inan effort to move the A's to Santa Clara County.
"With the available resources and desire on the part of allparties, a deal can be reached,'' said A's President MichaelCrowley to the Santa Clara City Council earlier this year.
Since then, negotiations have faltered and the A's are nowconsidering possible stadium sites in Oakland and AlamedaCounty.
