SAN FRANCISCO-Catellus Development Corp. has brought on Vanessa Washington as Senior Vice President and General Counsel. The decision was made by the board of directors for the publicly traded real estate operating company.

Before joining Catellus, Washington led the Real Estate Practice Group and served as SVP, corporate secretary and counsel for California Federal Bank. Including her tenure as in-house counsel, she has been a practicing attorney for seventeen years.

Catellus chairman and CEO Nelson C. Rising says, “Vanessa is an extremely talented lawyer, who brings a tremendous amount of public company and real estate experience to Catellus. I look forward to working with her and am delighted to welcome her to our senior management team.”
