Former GM Stamping Facility Up For Sale

COMSTOCK, MI-A former 2.2-million-sf stamping facility in Kalamazoo County is on the block with Signature Associates. Located in a Renaissance Zone, most state and local taxes can be abated through 2015.

COMSTOCK, MI-Signature Associates-ONCOR International of Southfield has been awarded the exclusive sale and leasing duties for The Renaissance Business Center at I-94 here. The property is located midway between Chicago and Detroit.

It was formerly a General Motors Corp. stamping facility.

The property features a 2.2 million-sf industrial facility with large contiguous space, that can be subdivided to suit; multiple loading docks; rail access and a 143,000-sf, three-story office structure.

It has been designated a Renaissance Zone, providing for an abatement of most state and local taxes through 2015. The property also includes more than 300 acres of land for future industrial, commercial and retail development.

Steve Gordon, Bill Robbins and Steve Woollam of Signature Associates will behandling the assignment.

The company is a commercial real estate firm with offices in Southfield andKalamazoo, specializing in industrial, office, retail and commercial brokerage, property/asset management, investment sales, mortgage banking and market research. In 2000, Signature leased or sold more than 18.5 million sf and sold more than 1800 acres of land.
