The city wanted to invite people who had been connected with thelongtime project to the ceremony. But officials say holiday plansand conflicts compelled them to delay the event.
Project developer Civic Partners claims to have tentativefinancing but needs letters of intent from 10 prospective tenantsto lease space before financing can be finalized. Only one tenant,Krikorian Premiere Theaters, has been announced, but several othershave expressed interest.
The ceremony is expected to be held sometime in January, cityofficials say.
