Steve Durhman of Durhman & Bassett, the developer, sayspermits could be in hand today to allow openings for the finalholiday shopping weekend. Without a doubt, all three will be up andrunning before the year closes in the first structure of thethree-building project, which includes an 88,000-sf H-E-B CentralMarket as the anchor. Come Jan. 10, the second building will beturned over to tenants for finish-out, he tells GlobeSt.com.

Durhman says another round of store openings will follow inearly January. To date, the first phase is bearing a 90% occupancyof its inline space.

Pad sites for Center Park at Tech Ridge will start to seedevelopment in spring 2002, close to the same time that thedeveloper breaks ground on a 100,000-sf second phase. The seconddevelopment stage is targeting a fall 2002 opening. That's just thebeginning of the plans for Center Park at Tech Ridge, which isbeing laid out to compete with Round Rock's 850,000-sf La FronteraVillage positioned about five miles north of Durhman's land.
