Joint Orlando developers Kittredge Investments and HewittProperties are racing the clock on submitting revised developmentplans to county officials on the estimated billion-dollarenterprise. Developers Conway Kittredge and Bobby Hewitt have untilSeptember 2002 to complete their paperwork.

"If they miss the deadline, they have to start from scratchagain and resubmit all new applications and formal documents," aLake County planner tells GlobeSt.com on condition of anonymity.Kittredge and Hewitt couldn't be reached at GlobeSt.com'spublication deadline to learn what their revised planscomprise.

But local and government planners tell GlobeSt.com thedevelopers hope to avoid shrill confrontations withenvironmentalist and neighborhood watchdog groups by providingabundant green space around the planned 678 single-family andmultifamily units, a neighborhood shopping center and an 18-holechampionship golf course.
