HOUSTON-The general counsel for the State Bar of Texas has renewed its long-standing lease for 11,000 sf at 1111 Fannin in downtown Houston.

Ron McWherter of the Houston office of CB Richard Ellis Inc. represented the bar association in the lease negotiations. Phillip Thompson of Trione & Gordon ONCOR International handled talks for building owner, Chase Bank.

Thompson tells GlobeSt.com that the association has been in the building for about 10 years. The 1111 Fannin is a 450,000-sf, 18-story, class B property. Thompson says the building has a 99% occupancy.

The State Bar of Texas is an administrative agency of the judicial branch in Texas. The general counsel’s office responsibilities include disciplinary investigations and administrative functions for the association.
