The board will be responsible for overseeing the transfer ofLindbergh Field from the Port of San Diego to the newly created SanDiego County Regional Airport Authority.
The five members of the transition team include San Diego CityCouncilman Byron Wear, Oceanside Mayor Terry Johnson, La Mesa MayorArt Madrid, Chula Vista Mayor Shirley Horton and attorney PaulPeterson.
Thella Bowens, who currently runs Lindbergh for the Port of SanDiego, will serve as executive director of the interimorganization. She chose the five board members.
