The 50,000-sf store's lease expired in January. It will close onJuly 14.

"Last fall when our lease was coming up for renewal, we receiveda tremendous outpouring of support from the local community to stayin this location," says John Baker, vice president of the Wild OatsFarmers Market Division and Henry's Marketplace. "We are currentlylooking for a site to relocate this store."

Henry's is making plans to expand its stores in SouthernCalifornia. The company has begun construction on its new CostaMesa location and plans to have that store open by the end of thisyear. The company is also identifying sites for additional storesin San Diego County. The 37 Serra Mesa employees have been offeredthe opportunity to relocate within the Henry's chain.
