The Archdiocese has not yet formally filed its plan with thetown's planning department but it has met with some town officials.The project will be located on Franklin Street at the site of theformer St. Jean Baptiste church. It involves a 24-unit, 20,830-sfbuilding, four two-family dwellings of 21,085 sf, four two-familydwellings of 29,441 sf and a two-family building of 3,597 sf.

According to Barbara Bedard, a town representative, the plan isto take down the church and the school building behind it anddevelop the new buildings. The Church, she notes, "has been emptyfor a long time." The units will be mixed income and affordablehousing.
