Pipe and Tube has committed to a 10-year lease with landlordMeskimen Family Trust for a 24,400-sf distribution/warehouse spaceat 23099 Connecticut St. The deal is valued at approximately $1.5million and the company has an option to purchase the building.

According to brokers, Pipe and Tube is relocating itsheadquarters from San Francisco. The building is a freestandingmanufacturing building. Pipe and Tube purchased much of theequipment from the previous tenant.

"Pipe and Tube saw a great value in being in the East Bay andjumped at the opportunity," said Todd Severson, vice president atthe Colliers office in Oakland. "Many manufacturers are hurting soit's nice to see businesses expanding and growing."
