Cascade already operates the Cascade West Grub and Ale House inDowntown Bend, as well as two establishments in nearby Redmond, onebeing its main brew house, and another in the nearby town ofSisters. The latest project would give Cascade Lakes fiveestablishments in the popular Central Oregon region known for itsskiing, biking, climbing and golfing.

If all goes as planned, the proposed site at the corner ofColorado Avenue and Century Drive will also include a second,9,000-sf retail building that would be leased to three retailerscatering to outdoor activities such as a bike shop, a snowboardshop and a skiing, snowshoeing and climbing outfitter. Preliminary timelines show a ground breaking just after thefirst of the year and completion by late next summer. Kutella saysCascade Lakes Brewing Lodge will be a multiple-story, full-servicefacility that serves liquor. It will include high ceilings, afireplace and a healthy complement of the company's homemade beers.The project's designer is Bend-based Barber Barrett TurnerArchitects.
