The first to cross the finish line is Unique Motorcars, whichstruck a deal with its longtime building owner, TA RealtyAssociates of Dallas, to exit 6,000 sf at one location and set upshop in 28,000 sf at 13950 Senlac Dr., now being retooled for thearrival. "That building's being put to bed for a long time," CraigHughes, marketing director for Dallas-based Holt Cos., tellsGlobeSt.com of the long-term leases that he's collecting for TARealty Associates.

The deal with Unique Motorcars, led by partners of a Dallasinsurance company, has sparked a rehab to convert a distributionbuilding into a manufacturing facility for the production of GT500E Shelby Mustangs. The rehab includes customizing the space with1,500 sf of showroom area for a Hall of Fame and a three-stagepaint booth for the assembly line.

The limited edition vehicles, 1968 bodies with 2003 guts, areselling at prices upward of $150,000 apiece. Hughes says theinbound tenant has sold four, has orders for 40 more and is holdinga contract for another 475 muscle cars for legendary racecardriver, Carroll Shelby.
