The Impact Award recognizes up to two firms and /or individuals,at least one of which is a member of the New Jersey Chapter, thathavehad a significant impact on New Jersey's commercial andindustrial real estate development industry. "Brandywine wasfounded on and continues to operate on the simple premise of doingthe ordinary, extraordinarily well," said Brandywine president andCEO Gerard H. Sweeney in his acceptance speech. "We apply thisprocess to all that we do to maximize benefits to our tenants,employees and shareholders. This is a great recognition of thequality of our entire team and we very much appreciate your goodwishes."

The three finalists for deal of the year were: Cushman &Wakefield of New Jersey Inc. for a deal involving the lease of twobuild-to-suit distribution centers by Crate and Barrel;Insignia/ESG for a deal involving the relocation of the D & Bheadquarters; and the New Jersey Economic Development Authority fora deal involving a lease transaction and refinancing of twobuildings at the Camden Technology Center. Insignia took home theaward, which was announced during the gala.

The New Jersey chapter of NAIOP is comprised of over 380 membersinvolved in the ownership, management, financing, leasing,development, master planning, design and construction of office,industrial and related commercial properties.
