Independent Industries LLC picked up the building, located at1345 N. Hobson in the East Valley Commerce Center, in a deal withdeveloper Piedmont Associates LLC of Phoenix. Kris Martin, withGrubb & Ellis/BRE Commercial, said the buyer will revamp theinterior to include about 1,500 sf of office and showroom space forits business, Independent Gas Tanks, which manufactures aftermarketmotorcycle gasoline tanks.
The firm, currently located in about 3,000 sf at Stapley andBaseline in Mesa, will move into the property, situated on 22,000sf of land, in August, he said. Martin along with Pete Klees, alsowith Grubb & Ellis/BRE Commercial negotiated the sale on behalfof both the seller and the buyer.
