DALLAS-The doors swing open tomorrow at 7 a.m. on the second annual RealShare Dallas, a broad-based look at the behind-the-scenes synergies at work in today’s commercial real estate industry. At last count, 400 professionals were signed up for the half-day event at the Hilton Dallas Lincoln Centre.

“What makes RealShare Dallas stand out is the combination of some interesting and exciting headline speakers, very topical and interesting panel discussions … and some great insights on the financing and investment sales markets,” says Richard Kelley, director of the conference series sponsored by Real Estate Media Inc., the New York City-based publishers of GlobeSt.com and Real Estate Forum. Dallas is the last stop in the 2003 nine-city road show, which has played to full houses with an information-packed agenda headlined by leading professionals with the inside track for every commercial real estate sector. Movers and shakers, inside and outside the host city’s bounds, will come together in professionally stimulating sessions focused on today, tomorrow and the future of the real estate cycle.

“It’s an opportunity to meet people not traditionally seen and heard in Dallas,” Kelley says. “They’re the people who are buying buildings and making things happen.”

Robert D. Duncan, chairman of Transwestern Investment Co. and Transwestern Commercial Services, will deliver the keynote address at 8:10 a.m. The spotlight then turns to Andrew Florance, founder, president and CEO of CoStar Group Inc., in a one-on-one session at 8:30 a.m. with John Salustri, GlobeSt.com’s national online editor. A second one-on-one interview will put John C. Goff, vice chairman and CEO of Crescent Real Estate Equities Co., on stage at 11:20 a.m. with Michael G. Desiato, Real Estate Media’s editor-in-chief.

The idea-packed agenda sets aside one hour in the morning and one in the early afternoon for concurrent sessions that take aim at the issues of the day as well as the opportunities that might be presented in the coming year. Attendees can get the inside scoop on 1031 Exchanges and sale/leasebacks or tap into information on 1,000 acres of developable prime land from an “inner loop” panel of Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport real estate executives and airport-area developers who have tickets to a piece of the action. A one-hour networking luncheon tops off the day.

“Professionals can come, have their fill of learning, see contacts and still be back at their desks by 2:30 p.m.,” Kelley says. “That’s a formula that seems to work well.
