Cambridge Filter Corp., a subsidiary of Japan-based KondohIndustries, expects to begin first phase construction with a48,000-sf building in the 135-acre business park. Completion isscheduled for mid-2004, Paul Sieczkowski, with ColliersInternational tells GlobeSt.com. Plans for the second phaseconstruction have not yet been announced.

Sieczkowski says the company selected the 8.8-acre site in theGuadalupe Road and Country Club Drive park because it gave the firmclose access to their suppliers and frontage along one of thedevelopment's main streets.

The Mesa firm's decision to base its headquarters in the townwas a coup for the community, one of the fastest growingmunicipalities in the nation, Greg Tilque, director of economicdevelopment for Gilbert, tells GlobeSt.com. "This company isinternationally renowned for their great product quality and we aredelighted to welcome them to Gilbert, " he says.
