CRANFORD, NJ-Mack-Cali Realty Corp., based here, saw leasing activity at its office properties in Northern and Central New Jersey for the third quarter of the year come in at the 391,487-sf mark. The biggest piece of that, just over 64,000 sf, came at the company’s Harborside Financial Center Plaza 5 on Jersey City’s waterfront.

At Plaza 5, Moody’s Investor Services leased 43,344 sf for five years. The other deal at the site was the Office of Thrift Supervision’s signing for 20,664 sf for 15 years.

Other highlights of the quarter’s activity saw Coram Alternate Site Services, a provider of home healthcare, takes 36,370 sf at two office/flex buildings at Mack-Cali Commercenter in Totowa. The company re-upped for 26,125 sf for five years at the 47,000-sf 11 Commerce Way, and signed a new lease for just more than 10,000 sf at the 42,500-sf 20 Commerce Way. David Newton of Bayshore Partners repped the tenant, and Christopher DeLorenzo was Mack-Cali’s in-house rep.

At the 247,000-sf 150 JFK Parkway in Short Hills, meanwhile, Citigroup Global Markets Inc. leased 26,834 sf for 10 years in a transaction representing a relocation and an expansion of just over 8,000 sf. Edward DaCosta of CB Richard Ellis spoke for the tenant, and senior leasing director Diane Chayes was Mack-Cali’s in-house rep.

In Clark, Cap Gemini Telecom Media & Networks US Inc. renewed its lease for just under 23,200 sf at the 182,555-sf 100 Walnut Ave. Jim Postell of Trammell Crow Co. represented the tenant and Toni Casiano provided in-house representation for Mack-Cali.

And in Woodbridge, the National Association of Securities Dealers Inc. leased just under 20,000 sf for 10 years at the 200,000-sf 581 Main St. in a transaction representing a 14,000-sf renewal and 5,900-sf expansion. In this case, Joseph Sarno, Jeremy Neuer and Jon Marks of Cushman & Wakefield of New Jersey spoke for the tenant, and Casiano again repped the owner.

Finally, WithumSmith + Brown, an accounting and consulting firm, signed a new, 10-year lease for 19,407 sf at the 98,500-sf 5 Vaughn Dr. in Princeton. Casiano once again was the owner’s in-house rep and Aubrey Haines of Mercer Oak Realty repped the tenant.
