AEX Convention Services Inc. signed a 5.5-year lease for afreestanding building at 5544 Armour Dr. The firm specializes incarpeting and walls for trade show floors.

Aaron Ace Schlameus in Grubb & Ellis Co.'s Houston officetells GlobeSt.com that the building came to market about 11 monthsago, two months before King Warehousing vacated. He and DoyleToups, also with Grubb & Ellis, represented the owner, SuburbanLeases, which was seeking 22 cents per sf gross. Reggie Beavan IIIand Trace Elrod, both with Jackson & Cooksey in Houston,brokered for the tenant.

Schlaemus says the tenant will use about 5,000 sf for office andstore materials in the balance. The location also includes about18,000 sf for yard storage.
