BOSTON-Brigham & Women’s Faulkner Hospitals Inc. renewed its lease for 10,370 sf of office space at 116 Huntington Ave. This group is the fund-raising and development group for Brigham & Women’s/Faulkner Hospital and is part of the Partners Healthcare Group.

Peter Farnum, principal, and Alison Cavanaugh-Leo, senior associate, represented property owner, New Boston Fund, while Julie Gray of McCall and Almy spoke for Brigham & Women’s Faulkner Hospitals.

The class A 14-story, 268,672 sf office building is located in the city’s Back Bay neighborhood. It was built in 1991 and is noted for its unique design, by architects CBT/ Childs Bertman Tseckares. The property borders the South End and is directly adjacent to Copley Place and across from the Shops at the Prudential Center.

The building has approximately 39,000 sf available. Among its tenants are Hay Group, Sonesta International Hotels, IDX Systems Corp., Segal Advisors Inc., American Tower, Daniel, Dennis, & Co. and IJ Fox. Lease rates for this deal were not available, but the average asking rent for Class A office space in the area is about $35 per sf.
